Technical Writing
I provide a wide range of documentation, from user-friendly online help to highly technical system programmers' guides. In any type of documentation, I explain things clearly and logically, so your reader can use your product as effectively as possible. I check and re-check all documentation for accuracy, and make sure that it's complete and cleanly written. When documenting software, whenever possible, I test the procedures as I write.
To a great extent, the subject matter, audience, and objective of the specific technical writing task determine the style and format of the documentation. For example, an end user manual for a financial management application will have a different style and format from the programmers' reference guide for the same application. In addition, different document standards and formats are often required in different fields.
I am experienced in many fields and have written many types of documentation. The technical writing I provide includes:
Technical manuals, on-line help, and instruction sheets
Web content
Training materials
Reference materials (for example, programmers' reference guides, data dictionaries, system administrator guides, assembly guides, installation guides, and product life cycles)
Technical descriptions (for example, specifications and patent applications)
Grant applications.
